Early & Mail-In Voting Info

Early voting begins Saturday, October 24th! Please see the graphic below for information on where to vote early in Ulster County.

Mail-in voting: The Ulster County Board of Election released a ballot tracking system that integrates with the USPS. This new system provides highly detailed status tracking of ballots, including request, creation, mailing status, delivery, return, counting/hold status, and other updates. The system should significantly reduce voter concerns around the mail-in ballot process.

Note that ballots must be postmarked no later than Nov 3. If mailing a ballot on Nov 3rd the ballot should be processed at a post office to receive a same-day postmark and the person mailing it should be provided with a receipt. If dropped into a mailbox on the 3rd it more than likely won't be postmarked that same day. There is also an option of someone else bringing a mail-in ballot directly to the BOE during hours they are open.

See you at the polls!
